Job summary

Target is hiring an Engineer for Email and Data Protection in Brooklyn Park, MN. You will design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot to deliver secure, scalable real-time email data processing.

The team collaborates with cybersecurity analysts, product partners, and vendors to improve reliability, observability, and security. A four-year degree and 1+ year of software development experience are required; cybersecurity experience is not required but interest in

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 1+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in a modern language with Java experience.
• Understanding of distributed programming concepts.
• Experience writing automated tests and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Contribute to distributed services that ingest and route data in real time.
• Develop RESTful APIs and service integrations.
• Write and review code; participate in CI/CD and incident management.
