Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Managing Consultant in its AI and Data practice to help utilities evaluate and improve energy efficiency, demand response, electrification, and decarbonization programs. You will design analytic approaches, oversee delivery teams, and serve as a technical leader on complex engagements, with up to 10% travel.

You will lead analyses, mentor staff, and contribute to proposals, while coordinating budgets and client relationships to drive impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• FIVE (5) or more years of experience in EM&V, utility customer programs, energy consulting, or a related field.
• Experience leading evaluations of energy efficiency, demand response, electrification, or DER programs.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects, clients, budgets, and teams.
• Experience in one or more analytical tools and modern data platforms such as Python, R, Snowflake, Databricks.

• Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations.
• Experience with AMI, interval load analysis, or telemetry data.
• Experience with demand flexibility, managed charging, VPP, DER, or electrification program evaluations.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, R Shiny, or similar visualization tools.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications.
• Experience supporting regulatory proceedings, proposals, or business development efforts.

The annual salary range for this position is $118,000.00-$196,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
