Sentara Health seeks an experienced Program Director to establish and lead an Emergency Medicine residency in Woodbridge, VA. This role combines direct patient care, teaching, and administrative leadership to support a new GME program beginning in 2026, with a strong clinical component and system-wide collaboration.

The position requires MD/DO with Virginia license and at least 3 years as Core Faculty in an ACGME‑accredited EM program.

Qualifications

• MD or DO licensed to practice in Virginia.
• 3 years of experience as Core Faculty in an ACGME‑accredited EM program.

Responsibilities

• Develop the EM residency curriculum and stay current with curriculum innovations.
• Recruit, select, train, supervise, evaluate, and advance residents.
• Create program policies and monitor compliance with ACGME/CLER/NRMP requirements.
• Provide GME leadership and partnership with Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center.
• Oversee prudent management of the program’s finances.
