Job summary

Framingham Public Schools seeks an Expanded Learning (ELT) Flyers After School Program Lead for the 2026-2027 school year. The Lead will supervise staff, coordinate with partners, oversee operations, and address student needs in a safe, inclusive environment focused on hands-on, project-based learning.

The role emphasizes collaboration with families and school leaders to plan events, field trips, and engaging enrichment activities while ensuring adherence to FPS policies and DESE guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (required).
• Additional post-secondary education credits in a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in program coordination, family engagement, or community outreach preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and oversee a high-quality after-school program experience with hands-on, project-based learning.
• Supervise, manage, and assist program staff; coordinate internal shift coverage in their absence.
• Serve as the primary point person for day-to-day caregiver questions and concerns.
• Track daily student attendance, manage program schedules, and maintain accurate rosters.
• Coordinate with external partners to facilitate enrichment activities and plan community events and field trips.
• Respond to and document student injuries, incidents, and behavioral developments per policy.
• Oversee safe administration of medication, First Aid, and CPR per DESE requirements.
• Maintain a positive environment, implement restorative approaches, and model FPS standards of behavior.
• Ensure compliance with all district/DESE policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, welcoming, and culturally responsive learning environment during all program hours.
