About the Role

The Fuller unit is a 55-60 bed Post-Surgical and Trauma Unit with approximately 160 employees. It focuses on adult post-surgical care (total knee and hip replacements), telemetry, stroke, and general medical cases. The unit provides an outstanding supportive environment and advanced training for its staff. Elliot Hospital is designated as an Orthopaedic Center of Excellence!

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process.
• Create a therapeutic environment for patients and families.
• Practice in line with Elliot Hospital's interprofessional model, ANA standards, and relevant specialty standards.
• Promote and support change to improve patient outcomes and professional practice.
• Involve patients and families in goal setting and care planning, ensuring seamless communication across shifts.
• Use current evidence and standards to guide practice and identify areas for improvement.
• Demonstrate competent clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; ASN required; enrolled in BSN program (signed commitment form); BSN preferred.
• Valid RN license in New Hampshire or a Compact State.
• BLS certification appropriate to patient population.
• Specialty certification within six months of eligibility.

Shift Details

Nights/EOW 7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.
