Job summary

Chelsea Public Schools in Chelsea, MA is seeking a licensed Teacher - ELL Transitional (WSTA) for SY26-27 to support multilingual learners across elementary and secondary settings. Responsibilities include planning and assessing curriculum, meeting students at designated locations and times, delivering targeted interventions, and using technology to enhance learning.

The position requires MA DESE licensure and SEI endorsement, plus commitment to equity and inclusive practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education teacher licensure in grade and subject area.
• Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement for core content teachers.
• Ability to work with a diverse population.
• Knowledge of MA curriculum frameworks, instruction and assessment.
• Knowledge of differentiated instruction and RTI is helpful.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for effective planning and assessment of curriculum and instruction; meets and instructs assigned students in the locations and at the time designated.
• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
• Provide instruction support to struggling students in classroom settings and in pull out settings.
• Plan and provide daily focused, research-based interventions to students using approved instructional materials.
• Responsible for the promotion of equity and appreciation of diversity to ensure equitable opportunities for student learning.
• Fosters a safe and welcoming learning environment and communicates with students, families and colleagues.
