East Burke High School in Connelly Springs, North Carolina, is seeking an ELL teacher for a split role between East Burke Middle and East Burke High. The position reports to the Principal and may coordinate teacher assistants. Starting date is Oct 1, 2026.

The role focuses on planning, organizing, and delivering instruction to English learners, ensuring engaging, standards-aligned activities and a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in education or related area qualifying for licensure by the NC DPI.
• Strong classroom management and behavior guidance skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Familiarity with instructional planning and assessment practices.
• Experience coordinating duties with teaching assistants is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Manage instructional time to maximize student engagement.
• Monitor student behavior and enforce classroom procedures.
• Present instruction with clear objectives and examples.
• Monitor and assess student performance using various methods.
• Provide timely feedback to students on in-class and out-of-class work.
• Coordinate between East Burke Middle and East Burke High for split duties.
• Perform non-instructional duties as assigned.
