Job summary

Devereux Massachusetts and Rhode Island is seeking an ELL Teacher to serve students in Rutland, MA. You’ll implement lessons per MA standards, align with IEPs, and supervise aides while modeling professionalism in a supportive environment.

The position requires a BA, DESE licensure in Moderate Disabilities and ESL, and fluent Portuguese communication. A Monday–Friday schedule with strong benefits and career growth is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Massachusetts DESE licensure in Moderate Disabilities and ESL required.
• Experience with individuals under 21 with behavioral disorders or autism preferred.
• Attend a 2-week paid orientation, Rutland, MA.
• Fluency in Portuguese with strong verbal, reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach lessons in accordance with MA Curriculum framework and students' IEPs.
• Provide supervision of Teacher's Aides in the classroom.
• Work diligently to meet the needs of students, and be a positive role model.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
