Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above from an accredited four‑year college or university.
• Valid Arizona teacher’s certificate for the appropriate grade level and/or subject matter.
• ESL/Bilingual Endorsement preferred.
• Meet North Central Association requirements for subject area assigned.
• Possess special area endorsements as required by state and/or federal regulations or District policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements the district approved ELD program of study that meets individual needs.
• Uses SEI/ELL teaching techniques to implement curriculum goals.
• Prepares a weekly lesson plan correlated with standards and curriculum.
• Monitors and assesses student progress using AZELLA and formative assessments.
• Communicates progress to students and their parents.
• Maintains professional responsibilities and records as required.
