Job summary

Nimble seeks an English Language Learner (ELL) Aide to provide instructional support to multilingual learners as they develop English language proficiency within the general education curriculum.

The role involves working under the direction of the classroom teacher and ELL staff, assisting with listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities, and helping prepare materials to support language development. Collaboration with families and staff is expected to ensure student progress.

• Providing language support during and outside of classroom instruction
• Collaborating with ELL teacher and administration

Responsibilities

• Assist English Learners individually and in small groups to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English.
• Reinforce classroom instruction by providing additional language support as directed.
• Collaborate with the ELL teacher to implement instructional strategies for language acquisition and academic success.
• Assist with classroom accommodations and modifications for English Learners.
• Help prepare instructional materials and activities that support language development.
• Monitor student progress and maintain records of instructional support.
• Assist with administering and organizing English language proficiency assessments.
• Communicate with families using district procedures and translation resources when necessary.
