Job summary

Qualifications

• Arizona Elementary or Secondary Teacher certification (required).
• Bilingual, ESL or SEI endorsement (required).
• Three years of classroom experience at the K-8 level teaching English Language Learners (required).
• Experience with ELA academic standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff development to support SEI Model placement, assessment, and the existing requirements of ELLs.
• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to support ongoing use of second language methodologies for ELLs.
• Work with teachers to use assessment data to effectively impact instruction and student learning.
• Assist the department with SEI Model compliance monitoring and program evaluation.
• Collaborate with the ELL department in planning multicultural staff development and family and community engagement opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
