Job summary

Everett Public Schools is seeking an experienced English Language Learner Coach to support K-8 teachers by strengthening ESL instruction and co-teaching. The coach will develop differentiated plans based on data, align with high-quality instructional materials, and target reading, writing, listening, and speaking outcomes for English learners.

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts ESL/ELL PreK-8 certification is required.
• Master’s degree in ESL, TESOL, or Applied Linguistics is required.
• At least five years of ESL/ELL teaching experience with exemplary practices.
• Experience providing professional development to teachers on related topics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with central administration to plan instructional improvements for English language learners.
• Analyze MCAS, ACCESS, and quarterly data to identify needs and plan coaching cycles.
• Schedule ESL direct instruction minutes with building principals to maximize impact.
• Model differentiated instruction and strategies to increase student-centered learning for ELLs.
• Lead observation/feedback cycles to improve instruction and high-leverage practices for reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
