McMenamins Elks Temple in Tacoma, WA, is seeking friendly Guest Services Staff to provide security, crowd control, and customer service during events and at the front of house. The role includes assisting with load-ins/outs, checking tickets, and helping ensure a safe, welcoming venue for guests and artists.

The position offers hands-on training, a fast-paced environment, and opportunities to grow within McMenamins’ neighborhood pubs and hotel properties.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred; training provided.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Tacoma security permit.
• Flexible schedule including swing shifts, days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and events.

Description of the Position:

The security position duties include but are not limited to; Providing crowd control, security and ensuring the protection of patrons, stage, and band members during all events including setup and clean up. Security personnel are responsible for maintaining and effectively responding to any safety issue or crowd control incident that arises and providing customer service. Security personnel may be asked to help out with band Load-Ins and Loadouts and take tickets from patrons for entry to the Property, as well as work in a customer service capacity for catered events or other special events. Being a security guard can be hard physical work and requires mental agility and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment. A security guard must also have the ability to work well independently and as a member of a team.

Qualified applicants
