Job summary

New York-based law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in White Collar Defense & Internal Investigations. The role focuses on high-stakes investigations, securities issues, and complex litigation for corporate and individual clients.

Requires NY bar status and 3–6 years’ experience; federal and state enforcement familiarity is essential. The position offers a hybrid work model, a pathway to substantial responsibility, and opportunities for professional growth within a nationally recognized practice

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in New York, in good standing.
• 3-6 years of substantive White Collar Defense, Internal Investigations, and/or Commercial Litigation experience.
• Experience handling government investigations and internal corporate investigations.
• Experience with securities fraud, money laundering, corruption, or other corporate misconduct; highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state regulatory and enforcement frameworks.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Judicial clerkship or courtroom experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent corporate and individual clients in government investigations, internal investigations, and white collar defense matters.
• Assist clients in responding to inquiries and enforcement actions by federal and state agencies.
• Conduct witness interviews, internal reviews, and factual investigations.
• Draft motions, briefs, memoranda, investigative reports, and other complex legal documents.
• Manage litigation and investigative matters in state and federal courts at trial and appellate levels.
• Collaborate with clients and attorneys across practice groups to develop strategic legal solutions.
• Participate in case assessment, discovery, legal research, and trial preparation.
• Provide practical and business-oriented counsel to clients facing regulatory, investigative, and litigation challenges.
