Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services in Platte City, MO is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to safely cut, fit, weld, and fabricate components for generator manufacturing. You will read blueprints and work instructions to produce quality parts for assembly, using MIG, TIG/Heli-Arc, oxy-acetylene, and soldering as needed.

The role demands strong teamwork, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work from first shift with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Completion of a bona fide welding/fabrication apprenticeship; or five years of previous welding/fabrication experience; or a combination.
• Knowledge and experience in construction, fabrication, or manufacturing industries.
• Demonstrated skills in metal fabrication and straightening.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain safety standards.
• Willingness to work assigned schedules, overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Safely weld and fabricate components per blueprints and specifications.
• Read blueprints, weld symbols, measurements, and technical specs to complete work accurately.
• Operate welding machines and fabrication tools safely and effectively.
• Inspect welds and fabricated components for quality and fit.
• Maintain equipment and work area; follow safety procedures.
