Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to support the production of electric generators. The role requires safe welding and fabrication from blueprints, with proficiency in MIG, TIG, oxy-acetylene, and soldering as needed.

The ideal candidate will have an apprenticeship or equivalent experience, strong teamwork, and the ability to work overtime as required in a manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, on-site position in Platte City, Missouri.

Qualifications

• Completion of a bona fide welding/fabrication apprenticeship; or five years of welding/fabrication experience; or a combination of experience and formal training equivalent to an apprenticeship.
• Knowledge and experience in construction, fabrication, or manufacturing industries.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work safely in a team environment.
• Ability to work overtime and maintain reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Safely cut, fit, tack, and weld metal components per blueprints and work instructions.
• Read blueprints, weld symbols, and specifications to ensure correct fabrication.
• Select appropriate welding methods, materials, and settings for various metals and thicknesses.
• Fabricate components using steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, and other metals.
• Inspect welds and assemblies for fit, dimensions, and quality; maintain equipment and workspace.
