Job summary

Harper College Community Music and Arts Center seeks a voice instructor to provide instruction in private lessons and group settings for children and adults. This position is expected to start ASAP. The position is dependent on enrollment and includes evening and weekend work, as well as attendance at recitals.

A bachelor’s degree in music is required. A master’s degree in music is preferred. Employment is contingent upon a Criminal Background Check.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in music is required.
• A master’s degree in music is preferred.
• Background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach individual weekly lessons to children and adults (30/45/60 minutes).
• Collaborate and/or teach group classes and camp programs.
• Organize and maintain a consistent teaching schedule and communicate with the coordinator.
• Prepare students for performances and attend recitals. Integrate technology into instruction.
