Westfield Public Schools is currently accepting applications for Gymnastics Varsity Coach for Westfield High School Fall 2026 Season. Stipend commensurate with Westfield Public Schools Unit A contract, Appendix B. No benefits. Starting date: Aug 31, 2026.

Qualifications

Emotional stability and ability to be a role model for students.
Knowledge of and ability to teach gymnastics theory and practice to secondary students.
Emphasis on teamwork, good sportsmanship, and adherence to sport rules.
Willingness to coordinate with other activities and staff.
Ability to work five days a week during the season.
Must complete background checks and certifications (NFHS concussion, CPR) and residency/citizenship requirements.

Responsibilities

Be present from the first tryout day until the last day of the season, with practices or competitions five days a week.
Supervise teams at all times.
Collect all uniforms and equipment at season end.
Maintain fair, unprejudiced relationships with athletes and ensure their welfare.
