Job summary

TD&I Cable Maintenance, LLC. seeks an Underground Utility Drill Operator to run horizontal directional drill rigs and support equipment for underground utility installations with minimal surface disruption.

The role requires reading maps and blueprints, performing safety checks, and coordinating with utility companies. Strong knowledge of OSHA and FMCSA/DOT guidelines is essential; CDL with tanker endorsement may be required for certain vehicle operations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• DOT medical card obtainable.
• Experience as a Utility Drill Operator is required.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, tickets, and permits.

Responsibilities

• Operate horizontal directional drill equipment to install underground utilities.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance of equipment.
• Read maps, plans, and blueprints to locate installation areas.
• Set up and clean up job site; load/unload materials and tools.
• Coordinate with utility companies to locate existing utilities and avoid disruptions.
• Ensure installations meet quality and regulatory standards.
