Job summary

Turner Construction is seeking a full-time traveling MEP project lead to oversee preconstruction, engineering and field installation for advanced technology projects including data centers, pharmaceutical, industrial/manufacturing, and EV/battery/renewables markets.

You will manage relationships with engineers, designers, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors and owners; lead MEP staff, supervise daily activities, and oversee procurement, budgets, quality, safety, scheduling, and commissioning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 10 years experience with progressively more responsible exposure to design, cost, sequence, logistics and field installations of Mechanical and Electrical systems or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to present technical material and leadership and interpersonal skills.
• LEED accreditation preferred; strong written and oral communication skills; familiarity with MS Office; knowledge of project management and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with engineers, design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and owner's representatives to align with client goals from initiation to completion.
• Comprehensive understanding of contract documents, Turner’s contract, plans, specs and applicable codes.
• Lead, supervise and develop Turner MEP staff, including input on performance appraisals; oversee daily activities of Engineer-MEP, Superintendent-MEP, and subordinates.
• Manage MEP procurement, project budgets, quality, safety, engineering, coordination, scheduling, installation, commissioning and close-out processes.
