Job summary

Boston Legacy FC is seeking a Team Security Manager to safeguard players, coaches, and staff across training, appearances, and matches. The role includes advance planning, risk assessments, and acting as the security liaison to Soccer Operations while coordinating with venue security and law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, executive protection, or professional sports team security preferred
• Experience providing unarmed executive protection in high‑profile or fast‑paced environments
• Experience with advance planning, surveillance, and counter‑surveillance operations
• Experience advising on facility security, including vulnerability assessments, access control, security staffing, or emergency planning
• Strong communication, discretion, and judgment

Responsibilities

• Provide security and protective support for players, coaches, and team personnel during training, appearances, events, and matches.
• Conduct advance planning and risk assessments for activities, travel, and appearances.
• Serve as the primary security liaison with Soccer Operations and advise leadership on emerging risks.
• Balance requests with safety protocols and respond to incidents with coordination with medical and law enforcement when needed.
• Lead security planning for team travel, including airports, hotels, and venues.
• Coordinate with venue and league security, transportation providers, and local law enforcement as appropriate.
• Coordinate with home venue security and understand venue security plans and command structure.
• Develop and assess security for the Performance Center and future facilities, including access control and staffing.
• Maintain relationships with local law enforcement and security partners and complete security documentation and reports.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, with domestic travel up to ~50%.
