General Summary & Scope
The Elite Stylist engages with guests, consulting on hair care needs and recommending products and services. They deliver quality services focusing on the guest’s total look, supporting the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager, with an emphasis on performance, guest service, and process adherence. A passion for beauty, exceptional guest service, and product knowledge are essential.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Performance
- Perform hair and makeup services including design, cuts, color, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, and ear piercing where applicable.
- Achieve or surpass weekly sales and productivity goals, contributing to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and shrink reduction.
- Conduct product demonstrations to enhance sales and guest experience.
- Support in-store events and marketing initiatives to enhance guest experience.
- Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services, and communicate their benefits to guests.
- Maintain regular attendance.
People
- Build guest relationships through consultations and tailored recommendations.
- Serve all guests promptly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with skin therapists and retail teams for a comprehensive guest experience.
- Develop professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
- Promote loyalty programs and app benefits to guests.
- Attend training and meetings for ongoing professional development.
Process
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
- Follow sanitation and infection control procedures, adhering to state guidelines.
- Follow service protocols for consistent guest experiences.
- Use booking systems effectively for appointments and events.
- Communicate supply needs and maintain store cleanliness and standards.
- Adhere to dress code and loss prevention practices.
- Perform other operational tasks as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Education
- Cosmetology license required.
Experience
- Relevant work experience required.
Skills
- Proficiency in salon techniques and product knowledge.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to build and maintain a client base.
Special Position Requirements
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
