Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Strength and Conditioning Specialist to design, deliver, and evaluate evidence‑based training that enhances strength, conditioning, injury resilience, and operational readiness for SOF personnel across garrison, field, and deployed environments.

You will instruct movements, tailor programs for individuals and groups, and coordinate with Human Performance teammates to ensure safe return‑to‑duty pathways after injuries, supporting peak

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related discipline with NSCA CSCS or CSCCA certification.
• Minimum of three years of demonstrable experience as a Strength and Conditioning Coach.
• Current CPR/AED certification and ability to meet physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and instruct physical training, movements, and injury prevention.
• Design, administer, evaluate, and document training protocols for SOF personnel (garrison, TDY, deployed).
• Coordinate with HP staff to ensure safe return-to-training after injury.
• Refer personnel with medical concerns to appropriate providers for evaluation and treatment.
• Collaborate with Sports Medicine and Performance Nutrition teams to support holistic performance.
• Assist in developing facility SOPs and ensure safe equipment use.
