Job summary

SPACE EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGIES CORP. seeks a Pipe Welder for Stage 0 Ground Fabrication (Starship) on the night shift at Starbase. You will perform precision fits and high-integrity welds on stainless steel piping for GSE systems enabling vehicle testing and Starship flights from the Texas coast.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 2+ years of experience using GTAW or GMAW on stainless steel pipe.
• Knowledge of AWS/ASME codes and related engineering requirements.

Responsibilities

• Fit and weld complex stainless steel piping systems using welding processes (manual and semi-automatic).
• Under supervision, analyze drawings and specs to plan welding operations.
• Visually inspect per ASME B31.3 with proper training.
• Obtain and maintain internal licenses, operator permits, or certifications as required.
• Improve operations, reduce turnaround times, and streamline processes.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
