Qualifications
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid driver's license.
Carry and use a firearm; maintaining firearm proficiency is mandatory.
Must be at least age 21 and less than age 37 at application, with exceptions for previous federal law enforcement services.
Top Secret Clearance is required and must be retained.
Visual acuity must be 20/100 uncorrected and 20/20 or better corrected.
Hearing loss must not exceed 25 decibels in critical ranges.
Submit to a drug test and random drug testing during the appointment.
Complete required training at Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and specialized training.
Sign a mobility agreement for assignments anywhere in the U.S. or overseas.
Certify registration with the Selective Service System if male applicant born after December 31, 1959.
