Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Possess a current valid driver's license.
• Carry and use a firearm; maintaining firearm proficiency is mandatory.
• Must be at least age 21 and less than age 37 at application, with exceptions for previous federal law enforcement services.
• Top Secret Clearance is required and must be retained.
• Visual acuity must be 20/100 uncorrected and 20/20 or better corrected.
• Hearing loss must not exceed 25 decibels in critical ranges.
• Submit to a drug test and random drug testing during the appointment.
• Complete required training at Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and specialized training.
• Sign a mobility agreement for assignments anywhere in the U.S. or overseas.
• Certify registration with the Selective Service System if male applicant born after December 31, 1959.
