Job summary

Health First is seeking a Security Officer to be fully engaged in protecting associates, patients, and visitors across Health First facilities. You will patrol on foot or by vehicle, respond to emergencies, escort patients, and prepare detailed incident reports to support safety and compliance.

Ideal candidates will hold Florida security licensure (Class D/G), a related education or military background, and a strong focus on customer service and communication.

Qualifications

• Education or experience routes include Police/Corrections Academy, CJ degree, or military service.
• Florida Class D and Class G Security Officer Licensure.
• Valid Florida driver's license with clean MVR.
• One year verifiable security officer experience in lieu of education.
• Crisis Prevention Training within 90 days of start date.
• Ability to access hospital morgue and rooftop helipad as required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal and external security patrols on foot or by vehicle.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with law enforcement, medical and fire services.
• Monitor entrances and exits; verify authorized personnel.
• Escort patients and provide safety escorts.
• Assist and transport deceased to morgue.
• Complete shift logs and reports per site orders.
• Investigate accidents and suspicious activities.
• Maintain certifications and training as required.
