Job summary

American National Bank is seeking a Senior Mortgage Loan Officer to originate and service residential mortgage loans. You will pre-qualify borrowers, analyze creditworthiness, and coordinate with cross-sales teams to maximize client satisfaction and bank profitability.

The role requires staying current on real estate market conditions and regulatory requirements, and guiding applicants from application to closing in a compliant, customer-focused manner.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of residential lending experience with compliance training.
• Knowledge of real estate laws and FNMA selling/servicing guidelines.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation for outside calls; NMLS registration required.
• Fluency in English, Spanish encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain relationships with referral and industry sources to maximize loan origination.
• Interface with borrowers to document applications and determine creditworthiness.
• Set expectations and guide borrowers through the loan process and closing.
• Respond to inquiries and generate referrals for other bank services.
• Advise applicants of options and negotiate loan terms.
• Stay current on local real estate market conditions and mortgage regulations.
• Position subject to SAFE Act registration requirements.
