Job summary

Mindscope seeks a Precision Fabrication Inspector for metals and weldments in Ashwaubenon, WI. This permanent, direct-hire role offers competitive pay up to $31/hour DOE, with a 1st shift schedule in a modern, climate-controlled facility.

You will read CAD drawings, inspect sheet metal parts, and document results, collaborating with shipping and shop floor teams. Strong metrology skills and familiarity with cranes/forklifts are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on inspection or quality assurance in a metal job shop/contract manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in reading CAD drawings, shop blueprints, and weld/machining symbols.
• Metrology skills with calipers, micrometers, and standard inspection tooling.
• Excellent documentation with non-conformance logs and inspection reports.
• US Citizenship or Green Card; reside within a commuting distance of Green Bay, WI.

Responsibilities

• Inspect sheet metal parts, stainless/aluminum weldments, and precision components for dimensional and cosmetic accuracy.
• Read and interpret CAD drawings, engineering blueprints, weld symbols, and machining specs to verify requirements.
• Use precision measurement tools to verify tight tolerances.
• Identify and document non-conformances and complete itemized inspection reports.
• Coordinate with shipping/receiving and shop floor fabricators to prepare items for delivery.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts as required.
