Job summary

McKenney’s is seeking an Installation QAQC Specialist to act as the division’s quality expert, supporting project managers and foremen, conducting site inspections, developing QA plans, and driving continuous improvement across mechanical installations.

You will lead training for managers and crews, maintain inspection records, coordinate BIM-related feedback, and report quality metrics to senior management, ensuring adherence to standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in mechanical piping.
• At least 5 years in the construction industry.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with BIM coordination and virtual QAQC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participates in BIM coordination of mechanical systems and provides constructability feedback.
• Reviews drawings with foreman to align installation strategy.
• Create comprehensive QA plans outlining standards, procedures, and specifications.
• Maintain records of inspections, tests, and findings.
• Prepare QA/QC reports for relevant stakeholders.
• Provide training to project managers, foremen, and installation teams on best practices.
• Develop SOPs for mechanical installations.
• Support project teams in quality risk assessments and mitigation.
• Inspect installations to ensure adherence to design specs and quality standards.
• Promote continuous quality improvement across teams.
