Job summary

California State University, Fullerton is seeking a Men’s Assistant Baseball Coach to join the Athletics Department for a Summer 2026 start. The role reports to the Head Baseball Coach and involves assisting with a competitive NCAA Division I program in the Big West Conference.

The successful candidate will help recruit student‑athletes, monitor academic progress, plan training sessions, ensure compliance with NCAA and Big West rules, and contribute to travel, scheduling, and community outreach

Qualifications

3 years Division I coaching experience or 4 years playing at the Division I level and 5 years coaching elsewhere
Proven ability to recruit skilled student-athletes and support their academic progress
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Thorough knowledge of NCAA Division I rules

Responsibilities

Assist with coaching a Division I baseball program in the Big West Conference
Assist with recruiting Division I quality student-athletes
Monitor the academic progress of student‑athletes
Lead and coordinate training sessions with safety guidelines
Know and abide by NCAA, University, and Big West rules
Travel coordination, scheduling, and practice planning with the head coach
Scout and analyze recruits and opponents
Collaborate with Athletics staff on program responsibilities and policy compliance
Support marketing of Baseball on campus and in the community
