Job summary

A family in Rye, New York is seeking an experienced Nanny/Family Assistant to support three children, ages 7, 6, and 4. This dual role covers mornings and after-school care, with mid-day family assistant tasks.

It is primarily live-out with a sleep-in component: 7–10 overnights monthly and extended live-in coverage during travel; a tutor and household coordinator is also needed. The role includes tutoring, driving in the family vehicle, and coordinating with a household team.

Qualifications

• Prior nanny experience with multiple children in a staffed household.
• Ability to tutor elementary-age children across core subjects.
• Background in teaching or formal education in early childhood preferred.
• Willing to commit to 7–10 overnights per month and extended live-in coverage during travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care for three children, including mornings from 6:15 AM, meals, evenings and bedtimes.
• Work a rotating schedule with a second nanny, including weekends and overnights.
• Provide live-in coverage during travel periods and support homework tutoring.
• Drive children to school and activities in the provided vehicle.
• Support homework and age-appropriate enrichment; manage laundry, rooms and gear.
• Maintain household calendar and coordinate travel and errands.
• Assist with travel prep and accompany family on trips, including international travel.
• Supervise pool and ensure safety; handle occasional pet care.
