Job summary

Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking an Assistant Coach for Men’s Basketball to contribute to the development of student-athletes within a competitive Division I Ivy League program. Reporting to the Head Coach, you will assist with practices, scouting, recruitment, and day-to-day operations, while building relationships and supporting academic, athletic, and personal growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years related experience.
• Coaching in intercollegiate or comparable environment.
• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and player development.

Responsibilities

• Assist with practice planning and execution.
• Support individual skill development for designated players.
• Assist with scouting, film breakdown, and game plans.
• Identify and recruit prospective student-athletes.
• Provide feedback on player development and game adjustments.
• Coordinate program operations, travel, equipment, logistics.
• Foster positive relationships and support student-athlete development.
• Represent Brown University with professionalism and integrity.
