Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Group Sales professional at the Westin Poinsett in Greenville to manage accounts, solicit new business, and exceed revenue goals across rooms, food & beverage, and event space. You will entertain clients, develop contracts, and coordinate cross-departmental service to ensure superior guest experiences.

The role emphasizes strategic prospecting, strong presentation skills, and knowledge of market trends to drive growth in a historic downtown property.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of past sales experience preferred.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of market trends, competition, and key hotel customers.
• Able to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate.
• Must possess computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Delphi; strong sales and revenue management.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, marketing plans, budget forecasting, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new and existing accounts to meet revenue goals through prospecting, calls, site inspections and written communication.
• Advance room, banquet, and room rental revenue through direct solicitation, presentations, contracts, negotiations, and closing.
• Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel to clients.
• Coordinate departments to service accounts and ensure high service quality.
• Develop and conduct persuasive sales presentations for prospective clients.
• Prepare information for meetings and entertain clients as appropriate.
• Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of market trends and competition.
• Maintain regular attendance and availability.
