Esplanade Golf & Country Club Lakewood Ranch, located in Bradenton, FL, is seeking a full-time Golf Course Irrigation Technician to join our team and support a premier golf facility. As part of Troon, you will help maintain an exceptional on-course experience for members and guests while growing your knowledge of golf club operations.

Responsibilities include preventative irrigation maintenance, head adjustments, pump and valve work, equipment inventory, and routine system checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with golf irrigation systems preferred.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects and work in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on irrigation system including lake recirculation and water features.
• Identify wet/dry zones and adjust sprinkler heads accordingly.
• Inventory and stock irrigation parts and tools to minimize downtime.
• Inspect and maintain pump stations, valves, electricals, and control wire.
• Conduct monthly sprinkler head checks and winterization/blowout of lines.

Esplanade Golf & Country Club Lakewood Ranch, located in Bradenton, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Golf Course Irrigation Technician! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Job Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance on the irrigation system including the lake re-circulation system and water features.
• Determines wet and dry areas for adjustments of sprinkler heads.
• Properly inventories and stocks all irrigation parts and tools in order to minimize down time.
• Maintains working knowledge of pump station maintenance requirements.
• Operates, maintains, and repairs a complex irrigation system, including leaks on the distribution lines, valve risers, electrical system, computer, and irrigation control wire.
• Reports any serious irrigation breaks immediately to the Head Irrigation Technician or Superintendent and maintains a daily log of completed repairs.
• Prioritizes irrigation breaks and uses time efficiently.
• Conducts monthly checks of all sprinkler heads on the entire golf facility.
• Routinely inspects irrigation system components to ensure system is operating properly.
• Responsible for winterization and blowout of irrigation system, including all water lines, valves and pump stations.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Prior golf course maintenance and irrigation experience is a major plus.
• Must have ability to lift heavy objects.
• Must be able to multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize well.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Certificate from college or technical school is preferred; and a minimum three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
