Apache Junction Unified School District is seeking a Girls Basketball Varsity Assistant Coach for the Apache Junction High School program. The role is seasonal and paid as a stipend, reporting to the Athletic Coordinator or Principal.

Responsibilities include coaching, organizing the program, and upholding ethical standards and safety. Required certifications include NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion in Sports, CPR/First Aid, and fingerprint clearance.

Qualifications

• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching or approved equivalent.
• NFHS Concussion in Sports certificate completed.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification on file.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card with IVP number; background check.
• Knowledge of sport-specific rules, safety, and coaching techniques.
• Strong communication with students, staff, and parents.
• Familiarity with AIA rules and district policies.

Responsabilités

• Coach student athletes in assigned area and develop skills.
• Organize and supervise the overall sports program for basketball.
• Maintain rapport with students, staff, and community.
• Promote safe practices to reduce injuries.
• Attend district or AIA meetings as directed by supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
