Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is seeking a Flight Nurse to join a team of air transport professionals in Eagle Pass, TX. You will transport patients to and from facilities and perform scene call work with emphasis on safety and high-quality care onboard aircraft.

The role requires three years in Emergency/Adult Critical Care, CFRN within 24 months, active RN license for the area, and certifications including BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP prior to flight status. Prior flight experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status with NRP provided during training.
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess situations to determine best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care.
• Manage critically ill or injured patients and support physicians’ orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe aircraft environment and conduct base checks and equipment maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with air/ground teams, dispatch, flight crews and facilities.
• Share shift change information and maintain records and documentation.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the position.
