Job summary
Plus One, part of the Optum Workplace Well-being portfolio, seeks an energetic Exercise Specialist for its Smyrna, TN fitness center. You will conduct consultations, create progressive programs, and coach safe equipment use to help employees stay healthy.
The role requires a related degree or accredited certification, CPR/AED and First Aid, and comfort with MS Office. This position offers comprehensive health, retirement, and wellness benefits and opportunities for ongoing training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or NCCA-certified PT credentialed practitioner.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
- Knowledge of exercise testing and prescription.
- Ability to engage with clients and members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Responsibilities
- Conduct fitness consultations including movement screens and goal setting.
- Develop progressive fitness programming to support participant outcomes.
- Instruct participants on safe use of cardio, strength and flexibility equipment.
- Educate participants on health and wellness information and available programs.
- Complete internal development courses via the LMS.
- Maintain high quality customer and client experience.
