Job summary

Empire Southwest in the field is seeking an Equipment Technician to repair, recondition, and service Caterpillar and allied machines, preparing equipment for delivery and diagnosing malfunctions in varying weather conditions.

You will work from the field, handle out-of-town assignments, and communicate findings to management. A high school diploma or GED, DOT licensing, and English proficiency are required, with safety as a top priority.

Qualifications

• Six months related experience in field service
• Proficiency in speaking/reading/writing English
• Safety-focused with ability to complete a skills assessment
• Valid driver’s license and own tools

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Maintain good client relations and support for corporate objectives.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Prepare service reports and travel as needed.
• Plan and control cost of repair jobs.
• Work safely and comply with company policies.
