Job summary

Thompson Industrial in the United States is seeking Hydroblaster/Field Technicians to perform safe, high-quality hydro-blasting and related services at customer sites. You will lead crews, coordinate daily operations, and ensure equipment is operated safely and documentation is completed accurately.

Qualifications

• Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training & essential experience gained on other jobs.
• Language proficiency: understands English to comprehend safety training & respond to emergency instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and other driving policy requirements when operating company/personal vehicles.
• Knowledge of operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.
• Provide Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).

Responsibilities

• Act as safety representative responsible for safety policies & procedures of both the company & the customer, including operations, safety, equipment, emergency response & administrative functions.
• Hands-on operation, when required, of manual and automated hydro-blasting equipment.
• Operation of special equipment, such as ultra-high-pressure pumps.
• Operate equipment by energizing pumping equipment and/or specialized hydro-blasting/chemical cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks & cutting equipment.
• Examine surface cleaning to ensure conformance to company & customer specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on company equipment used on the job.
• In supervisory roles: interface with customer representatives regarding job setup and scope, ensure performance & customer requirements are met, implement company policies at the job site, report to branch manager and obtain results.
