Pratt Industries, Inc. seeks a Commercial FEL Driver to operate a heavy-duty truck with a front end load lift attachment and service containers filled with waste or recyclables.

You will perform DOT pre/post trip inspections, navigate busy routes, and back into restricted spaces. The role emphasizes safety, accurate route reporting, and courteous interactions with customers and dispatchers.

Qualifications

• Performs DOT required pre and post trip inspections and documents accordingly.
• Operates a heavy diesel truck to service customer locations and facilities.
• Reads route sheets to determine daily schedule and routes.
• Manoeuvres the truck into restricted spaces with precision.
• Adheres to safety guidelines and company policies at all times.

Responsibilities

• Drives heavy diesel truck to and from customer locations and disposal areas.
• Performs DOT pre/post trip inspections and documents on standard forms.
• Uses hydraulic controls to lift/load refuse and operate the compactor.
• Backs up in tight spaces with highly skilled maneuvers.
• Interacts courteously with customers, dispatchers and supervisors.
• Notifies Route Manager of incidents, safety hazards, or service interruptions.
• Completes required route/productivity sheets and VCRs.
