Job summary

The U.S. Secret Service Police (Uniformed Division) seeks qualified applicants for protective duties at White House and other designated facilities in Washington, DC. The position requires relocation to Washington, DC and participation in intensive training.

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, have a valid driver's license, be able to obtain Top-Secret clearance, and meet medical and vision requirements. The appointment is Schedule B, limited-term for 3 years 120 days, with potential conversion.

Qualifications

• Must meet vision requirements: uncorrected 20/100, corrected 20/20 in each eye; post-surgery tests apply for Lasik/PRK/ALK/RK.
• Hearing must be within specified limits and able to hear whispered voice at 15 feet without aid.
• Must obtain and retain Top-Secret Clearance during career.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard White House complex, Vice President residence, and designated facilities.
• Provide security for foreign missions and embassies.
• Travel in support of Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
