Job summary

The U.S. Secret Service seeks officers in the Uniformed Division stationed in Washington, DC, with relocation required. The role involves protecting facilities and venues for protectees, enforcing security protocols, and maintaining readiness through rigorous training.

Candidates must meet strict eligibility, including U.S. citizenship, valid driver's license, ability to pass drug tests and obtain Top-Secret clearance, plus completing FLETC and Rowley training, and limits on age.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must have a valid driver's license and REAL ID compliance.
• Must be at least 20 years old at application; may be referred up to 40th birthday.
• Subject to drug testing and credit check.
• Must obtain Top-Secret Clearance and maintain it.
• Must register with Selective Service if male born after 1959.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard the White House complex, the Vice President's residence, and other facilities, and provide security for foreign missions and embassies.
• Travel in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
• Enforce protective responsibilities under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
