Job summary

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) seeks Federal Air Marshals to protect commercial flights and safeguard the nation's transportation system. The role requires discretion, sound judgment, physical readiness, and firearms proficiency, with duties both aboard flights and on the ground. Applicants must be U.S.

citizens or nationals, 21+, able to obtain Top Secret clearance, and willing to travel frequently. Training is comprehensive, and promotion follows federal hiring processes.

Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible experience in problem-solving, planning, organization, and effective written and verbal communication.
• A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• A qualifying combination of post-secondary education and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Protect commercial passenger flights from terrorist activity, aircraft piracy, and other threats.
• Work discreetly aboard domestic and international flights.
• Assess developing situations and respond with limited backup.
