Job summary

Gavin de Becker & Associates (GDBA) is hiring a Protector in Fort Lauderdale to safeguard clients and coordinate security operations. You will monitor sites, screen access, respond to emergencies, and provide secure travel support.

Required: 3+ years in protection, 5+ years as a sworn officer (LEOSA ideal), and 3+ years as a paramedic or RN (military med accepted). Includes robust benefits and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience conducting close protection/executive protection for high-net-worth or at-risk clients.
• 5+ years working in a full-time certified law enforcement officer position; LEOSA/HR-218 eligibility ideal.
• 3+ years as a Paramedic (NREMT-P) or Registered Nurse; equivalent military medical experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Monitor property using the tools and technology of a GDBA Command Center.
• Screen visitors and vendors; control all access to protected site.
• Coordinate and execute security plans and respond to medical emergencies.
• Provide physical protection and logistical support at clients' homes and during travel.
• Provide secure transportation as needed.
• Survey and prepare locations prior to client arrival.
• Prepare detailed documentation of suspicious activity.
• Create and maintain readiness to meet any threat.
