St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to provide emergency and non-emergency pre-hospital care and transport.

The EMT will perform clerical duties as assigned by the Emergency & Transport Service Leadership team, adhering to scope of practice and regulations. Responsibilities include scene assessment, patient care, documentation, QA participation, vehicle readiness, and safe operation of ambulances.

Competenze

• PA certified EMT with valid PA DOH license.
• Current BLS certification.
• EMSVO certification.
• Driver license with ability to operate ambulance and obey traffic laws.
• Hazardous materials certification (Preferred).
• PHTLS certification (Preferred).
• NIMS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700 or 800 (Preferred).
• Tact, courtesy, initiative and ability to follow directions.

• Administer appropriate level of care per scope of practice and laws.
• Assess injuries/illness to prioritize procedures.
• Rescue and extricate patients using proper techniques.
• Treat patients at scene, en route, and in pre-hospital setting.
• Provide ambulance stand-by services for events and activities.
• Document assessments and treatment per policy.
• Engage in continuous QA and respond to flags promptly.
• Maintain vehicle/equipment readiness and restock as needed.
