Actalent seeks an ECMO Specialist to join the critical care team in Boston, MA. You will participate in ECMO training, develop skills to safely manage ECMO technology, and support acutely ill patients of all ages under supervision.

The role includes patient monitoring, device adjustments, blood product administration, and respiratory therapy duties, with a 36-hour weekly schedule, rotating days/evenings and every third weekend. A $20,000 sign-on bonus and full benefits are offered.

Formación

• ECMO and respiratory therapy experience required.
• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Massachusetts license as Respiratory Therapist.
• RRT credential required.
• NPS credential to be obtained within 6 months of entry.
• Minimum 2 years of pediatrics experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assemble, prepare, and maintain extracorporeal circuits and equipment.
• Assist priming circuits and prepare systems for clinical use.
• Assist with cannulation procedures and establishing ECMO support.
• Monitor patient response, perform routine assessments, circuit evaluations and anticoagulation management.
• Assist with ECMO circuit interventions, weaning, and patient transports.
• Administer blood products per hospital standards.
• Communicate with caregivers, nursing, surgical and medical teams and families.
• Document accurately in the electronic health record.
• Participate in professional development, simulation, and continuing education.
• Attend ECMO Team meetings and M&M conferences.
