Job summary

Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL seeks a Head Men’s and Women’s Swim Coach/Pool Manager to lead both programs, recruit talent, and oversee pool operations. You will coordinate travel, practice plans, and fundraising while ensuring NCAA and conference compliance and the academic success of student-athletes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, intercultural competency, and strong leadership and communication skills, with responsibilities spanning coaching, pool maintenance, and supervision

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Intercultural competency and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability.
• Swim coaching experience at the NCAA Division III level preferred.
• Ability to obtain Illinois Department of Health Pool Operator Certification; First Aid and AED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, retain and graduate successful student-athletes.
• Develop and execute recruiting strategies with the Director of Athletics and admissions.
• Coordinate travel, competition management, and daily practice plans.
• Manage pool operations, equipment, and pool maintenance.
• Hire and supervise student workers and lifeguards; ensure safety.
