Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform comprehensive echocardiography studies, including transthoracic, stress, and contrast-enhanced exams, across adult and geriatric patient populations. The role emphasizes patient-centered care within a busy cardiovascular imaging department.

Qualified applicants will have an Associate Degree in Allied Health, 1 year of echocardiography experience, and registry within six months, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• One year echocardiography experience or equivalent.
• Cardiac Sonographer registry required within six months (ARDMS or CCI).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Performs transthoracic echocardiograms (2D, 3D, M-Mode, Doppler, Color Flow, Strain).
• Performs stress echocardiograms.
• Performs contrast-enhanced echocardiograms.
• Assists with transesophageal echocardiograms as available.
• Performs patient assessment and quality control.
