Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) invites qualified applicants to join a premier law enforcement team within the Department of Homeland Security.

Qualifications

• GS-9 level eligibility can be achieved through experience, education, or a combination.
• Minimum one year of specialized experience including enforcement, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Education substitution with a Master’s or higher degree or JD/LLB.
• Combination of experience and education as determined from resume.

Responsibilities

• Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
• Facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
• Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances.
• Determining admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States.
• Preventing illegal entry and smuggling of contraband.
