Job summary

The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee seeks a Senior Performance Biomechanist to deliver athlete-centered biomechanical support across elite athletes and NGBs. You will design and implement assessments, movement analysis, and monitoring strategies to enhance readiness, technique, and competition performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor0s degree in Biomechanics, Sport Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Engineering, Movement Science, or a related discipline.
• Master0s degree or PhD in Biomechanics, Sport Science, Kinesiology, Movement Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred
• Professional training or certification in motion analysis, performance technology, data analytics, coaching, rehabilitation, or applied sport science preferred
• 8+ yearsa0experience in biomechanical assessment, movement analysis, or technical performance support within elite or high-performance sport environments
• Demonstrated experience conducting, refining, interpreting, and communicating biomechanical assessment, movement analysis, and athlete profiling information to inform performance planning
• Experience working directly with athletes, coaches, and interdisciplinary performance teams supporting elite athletes
• Experience translating complex biomechanical information into practical recommendations for coaches, athletes, and performance staff
• Experience at major competitions (Worlds/Olympics/Paralympics) preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level biomechanical support for elite athletes across Olympic/Paralympic sports.
• Design and implement biomechanical assessment, movement analysis, and monitoring strategies.
• Translate performance data into practical recommendations for athlete preparation and training design.
• Collaborate with coaches, strength and conditioning, physiology, sports medicine, and performance staff.
• Mentor interns, fellows, and developing practitioners as needed.
